Apple Blossoms

Calling all apple pie lovers (and dessert gurus, alike)! I had always seen Trader Joe’s Apple Blossoms on TikTok and Instagram as a “must try,” but I never picked them up until this past weekend. I was home visiting my parents and my mom felt bad because she hadn’t had time to bake any goodies before my arrival. I suggested picking these apple desserts up and she was game! We baked them at home after dinner and let’s just say they may be the whole family’s new obsession. Keep reading to get my take on this popular Trader Joe’s frozen dessert!

Tasty, Tart & Totally To Die For

If I had to compare these Apple Blossoms to anything it would either be the traditional Apple Pie from Costco, or the Caramel Apple Tartlets from Omaha Steak Company. The Apple Blossoms were tart with a strong apple flavor; the brown sugar and flaky crust added the perfect level of sweetness. You would have never known that this yummy treat came from the frozen food aisle of your local Trader Joe’s.

Delish Additions

One thing that I would have loved to accompany my apple blossom was a small dollop of vanilla ice cream. Because of my strong comparison to homemade apple pie, ice cream would have made these blossoms off the charts! Pro Tip: Drizzle a bit of caramel syrup or sauce over your apple blossom for an extra bit of richness!
